Delivery Helpers, also known as Driver Helpers, assist delivery drivers in loading, unloading, and making deliveries.Their primary role is to ensure timely and accurate deliveries while providing good customer service.They handle packages, may need to navigate potentially challenging routes, and communicate with customers.While some roles may require a valid driver’s license, many focus on the physical work of handling goods and supporting the driver.

 

Key Responsibilities::

Loading and Unloading:

Assisting with loading packages onto the delivery vehicle and unloading them at customer locations.

 
Delivery:

Making deliveries to customers, often including physical handling of packages and interacting with customers. 

 
Customer Service:

Providing a positive and professional experience to customers, including answering questions and addressing concerns. 

 
Vehicle Support:

May assist with vehicle maintenance checks and ensuring the vehicle is in good working order, according to some job postings. 

 
Route Assistance:

Assisting the driver with navigating routes and ensuring deliveries are made efficiently and on time. 

Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina:

    Ability to lift and carry packages, sometimes heavy ones, is essential according to Triplex Enterprises, Inc.
